Insight about Lennie:Chapter 5

In this chapter the insight we get about Lennie is seen to be more violent but only because he starts to panic. It is once again seen that because he is mentally disabled he doesn't understand what he had done or what he is capable of. For example Lennie killed the puppy without knowing it was his fault, "Why do you got to get killed? You ain't so little as mice. I didn't bounce you hard.” this tells us that Lennie didn't understand what he had done, because he was questioning the dead puppy why he had died.
Suddenly his anger arose. “God damn you,” he cried. “Why do you got to get killed? You ain't so little as mice.” He picked up the pup and hurled it from him. He turned his back on it. He sat bent over his knees and he whispered, “Now I won’t get to tend the rabbits. Now he won’t let me.” He rocked himself back and forth in his sorrow. However this quote is different from how Lennie is seen throughout this book. Usually Lennie doesn't get angry, however in this scene Lennie is angry with the pup for dying because he thinks George won't let him 'tend to the rabbits' when they get there dream of the ranch and the rabbits.
In this chapter Lennie also killed Curley's wife once again Lennie had panicked  when he was stroking through Curley's wife's hair. 'Lennie was in a panic. His face was contorted. She screamed then, and Lennie’s other hand closed over her mouth and nose. “Please don’t,” he begged. “Oh! Please don’t do that. George’ll be mad.” Steinbeck used the word 'panic' as this was to describe that Lennie just panicked and didn't now what to do, he didn't know how to react with what was happening.
In this chapter I think it has given more of an insight into Lennie and how he thinks because he is mentally disabled. Steinbeck wanted to make the readers feel what Lennie would be like as though he were real.

(Didn't fully understand it)

Tv Reviews on Jeremy Kyle Show

                                     The Jeremy Kyle Show

Do you realise The Jeremy Kyle show has been going for 5 years! 5 years for 5 days a week! Surely he's covered a good percentage of the population so far!
Jeremy Kyle is a former radio presenter who someone obviously thought had a face for television, and so it seems to have worked.
His show follows the general concept of talk shows, one presenter and lots of members of the public, that's us sitting in front of the PC reading this!
He gets these members of the public on the telly and gets them to air their views, well that used to be what happened! Now it's managed to devolve into people airing their grievances against each other.

It gives us programmes with such wonderful lurid titles such as;
'16 years old, 3 kids, you are the father'
'Take a lie detector test - Is my boyfriend sleeping with my daughter'
'Mum and Sister, stop using the house like a brothel'

'Car crash' TV I believe it's called. It's now a programme showing the dregs of our society often trying to justify their lifestyle choice and screaming grievances at each other.
Not one programme seems to go past without at least one young lady with her hair scraped into a 'Vicky Pollard' ponytail and a young unemployed man with a cap on.
Oh and the obligatory alcoholic!
Funnily enough it's on the tv at the moment and what does it feature? A tracksuited cap wearing young man who can't work because he's an alcoholic needing a DNA test. That young man may not realise it but he's just about summed the show up!

Jeremy Kyle is an ex-gambler, ex-alcoholic, ex-radio presenter and current TV presenter who suffers from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. His show is one of the best known shows in the UK and it's been brought over to the US. Instead of holding his peace, Jeremy Kyle speaks his mind, often in an aggressive manner. But he's got security guards and an audience behind him and the show exposes their guests as rotten chavs. If he hadn't have had all those people behind him, he'd probably keep his mouth shut.
It usually includes verbal wars that lead to DNA tests, lie detectors, more arguments, various breakdowns and hundreds of ways for Jeremy Kyle to break down. It's quite repetitive to be honest, but once in a blue moon you'll find some interesting guests and the chemistry between Jeremy and them simply explode.
